RoundCube Webmail 0.2-stable

最有名的 Webmail, 應該就是 Open WebMail 了吧 (這是台灣人的作品喔!!). 不過因為是 Perl 寫的, 一直想找一個 php 實做的 Webmail. 從去年開始, 就有在使用 RoundCube Webmail, 雖然是 0.1 版, 但其實已經很穩了, 不用擔心. 最近剛出 0.2, 拿來試試看.

升級的過程其實不是很 friendly, 請先看 UPGRADING 這個檔案, 看你是從哪個版本升上來的, 然後照著做. 基本上就是要動 3 個地方, file/db/config.

升級完之後, 第一眼實在看不出有何不同, 只好看 release note, 如下. 說真的, 沒有覺得有很特別大幅的改進, 不過, 這軟體該有的功能也都有了, 而且簡單方便好安裝, 加上穩定, 所以有需要的人還是可以試試看.

0.2-alpha:
This pre-release of version 0.2 comes up with a DOM-based HTML sanitization which removes malicious JavaScript code from HTML messages and fixes all known XSS vulnerabilities. And we also fixed more than 100 bugs.

0.2-beta:
This new version comes with many fixed bugs and some new features like
- collapsable folder tree
- auto-detection of client language and timezone
- complete TinyMCE integration
- message flagging
- default imap folders configurable for each user/account
- import/export of address book contacts
- support for pspell and syslog.

0.2-stable:
The second stable version of the RoundCube Webmail package completes unfinished work from the 0.2-beta release and comes up with about 80 bugfixes as well as some performance improvements. The upgrading process now became very easy with the integrated update script. It's runnable from the shell or from within the web-based installer. Read the UPGRADING instructions for details.
